The Youth in Science summer science camp is a pivotal experience in many young lives -- both kids' and mentors'. Here we share with the community some of the feedback we've received from our mentors.

Dr. McGee,
I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated the opportunity to work at Echo Lake. I learned so much about how well off I am and how many
opportunities I have in my life. When I look back at what these kids go through everyday of their lives, it is almost too hard to imagine. I really did forget about
myself for a week and only worried about those kids. It was an amazing experience. When I finally got home, I had a feeling that I know what I am suppose to do with my life. I think that I could best be used working
with children and trying to make their lives better. When people kept asking me what I am going to do in college, I didn't know. Now I am pretty confident that I know what I want to do. I want to thank you and all of the other instructors how
appreciative I am of being hired into the program. It was a experience that made me open my eyes and see the big picture. It really did
change my life in a lot of ways. I would love to be considered in a position as a mentor next year. I would be honored to be hired again. If there is
anything that I can do either working on a program to train new and returning mentors better, I would be more than willing to work on it for this next year. I would also be happy to help work on any grants or other administrative things you might need some help with. Thanks again for this past week.
