Master's Degree in Natural Science
The M.A. in Natural Science is a flexible program designed for science teachers who have a B.A./B.S. degree or demonstrated competence in a field of science. M.A. students are exposed to current issues in science education and are expected to augment their science content knowledge during the course of their program. Six credits of the single subject credential program may be applied towards the program.
Paths in the MA Natural Science Program
Plan A (with Thesis): requires a thesis in science education issues approved by the student's Master's committee; the thesis is credited under Sci 299 units.
Plan B (with Project): requires a project related to science education approved by the student's Master's committee; the project is credited under Sci 298 units.
