Ultra Violet Light

After ozone is created, it has properties which allow it to absorb ultra violet (UV) rays from the sun. UV light causes significant damage to life on Earth. There are different types of UV light and each type effects us differently. UV-A (320-400nm) causes our skin to wrinkle and age. UV-B (280-320 nm) causes sunburns, skin cancer, eye damage. UV-C (1-280 nm) causes extreme biological damage. All of the UV-C is strained out before it reaches the Earth's stratosphere. Ozone is held accountable for blocking much of the UV-A and UV-B rays.
