Summer Program

The Division of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology of the American Chemical Society sponsors summer schools in nuclear and radiochemistry.  Funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Energy. Courses are six weeks long. Two programs are held; one at
San Jose State University, San Jose, CA and the other at  
Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY

Attendance to the course requires the applicant to be an undergraduate.  An application to the program can be found at http://www.cofc.edu/~nuclear/nukess.html

The program selects 12 students to attend the program at Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York and 12 students to attend the program at San Jose State University in California. 

The program at San Jose State University includes concepts in nuclear chemistry and radiation safety. The student receives about six units of credit. 

The program provides for the following:
Tuition Registration Books
Travel Room Site visits
Some food Stipend of $3000
